2016, thanks for a beautiful year

I learned more than I could have ever imagined last year.  There were peaks and there were valleys, and the best parts were working on things that mattered to me alongside some truly fantastic people.

I’m grateful to all the folks I met through 21inc, I’m grateful for being part of the utterly amazing Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival family, I’m grateful for my new gig in technical sales, and I’m particularly grateful for my family, and the friends who are like family.

2016 was an interesting year to be in the world.  Many of us have been talking about Brexit, Allepo, Trump, and other world events that in some way have affected us all.

Through it all, I’m so thankful to be here.  These are the issues of our time – it’s important to realize that every time has their issues, and while we’re better able to understand the issues of the past because we can see them more clearly, we must also work to understand how the issues of our time are changing the way we see the world – how future generations may come to see the times that we are living in now.

Humans continue to evolve, nothing is ever static.  To me, that’s a beautiful thought.

I’m looking forward to the adventures and lessons that 2017, albeit already under way, will bring.
